Baillieston Community Hub at James Lindsay Memorial Park

A new community hub including a library, gym, dance studios and community spaces.

Community Engagement sessions took place in December 2023, January 2024 and September 2024, inviting local people to view the design for the Hub and providing an opportunity to offer comments on the design process and understand the timeline for project.

Baillieston Community Hub

Due to open in Summer 2027 here is a visual timeline to understand the next steps in the project.

What the hub will offer

  • Glasgow Club

    Glasgow Club members will be able to utilise a brand-new, top-of-the-line gym, holistic and spin studios and a group fitness space.

  • Library

    The library will provide a large adult, children and youth browsing and lending area and increased access to IT and other collocated services.

  • Community spaces

    The Hub will include multifunctional room which can be subdivided for efficient use by all in the community.

Planning Application

The proposed new community hub in Baillieston is one of the largest infrastructure projects to impact on the east of the city in recent years and highlights the city’s ongoing commitment to the health and wellbeing of its citizens.
