Free and low-cost activities to enjoy during the summer holidays

Looking for fun activities for the kids to do during the school holidays? We've got you covered! From sport camps to reading challenges, we've got a range of things to do to keep the kids happy and busy this summer.

Sport camps and activities this summer

  • Tennis camps

    Our daily and weekly camps at Scotstoun are open to children of all abilities aged 5 to 16.

  • Free family swimming

    Our popular free family swimming sessions will take place at venues across the city.

  • Football camps

    Children from 5 to 12 years old can enjoy our daily and weekly football camps during the holidays.

  • Free pitches

    Book a pitch for either 5-asides or 7-asides and enjoy a free game of football.

  • Free courts

    Book a free court and enjoy a game of badminton, table tennis or pickleball.

Summer of Events

  • Merchant City Festival

    Each July, the Merchant City Festival brings arts, circus, dance, and live music to the city's streets with a range of free and low-cost events.

    Experience the amazing atmosphere of the World Pipe Band Championships at Glasgow Green, which takes place in August.
