Our workshops for nursery, primary and secondary schools

Our 2025-26 programme of workshops for nursery, primary and secondary school groups is now available. Download our programme brochure here. 

Sessions are available at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Riverside Museum, The Burrell Collection, Glasgow Museums Resource Centre, the Gallery of Modern Art, St Mungo Museum and Provand's Lordship. Through our partnership with the RSPB, schools can also choose to take part in a field teaching session in Kelvingrove Park.

Highlights this year include:

  • Design, Form, Function workshop for secondary art and design students at Kelvingrove Museum
  • Glasgow Stories in Architecture walking tour of city centre, starting at GoMA
  • Glasgow: Step Back in Time at Riverside Museum (launches Jan 2026)
  • Cinderella - an interactive session for pre-5s at Provand's Lordship
  • LGBTQ+ History workshop at The Burrell Collection 
  • Free buses and workshops available for secondary art and design departments through the William Syson Travel Fund. For more details click here.

ASL groups are free of charge, however multiple visits from the same group of pupils will incur a small charge. 

Self-led visits for all educational groups are free, but please book in advance.
