Anna, Sheila and Clare Friel, born and brought up as proud members of the Donegal diaspora in Glasgow, have remained deeply connected to their Donegal roots, playing a rich blend of music interspersed with songs, many from their family repertoire. Featuring Anna (flute/whistle/vocals), Sheila (uilleann pipes/flute/whistle/vocals), Clare (fiddle/whistle/vocals), Cathal Ó Curráin (bouzouki/vocals) and Marty Barry (guitar/vocals), The Friel Sisters have performed in various venues and festivals all over the world and deliver performances full of energy, heart and warmth.

The Friel Sisters are honoured to be joined for this very special, one-night-only concert by some of Ireland’s most celebrated and renowned singers and musicians: Grammy Award-winner Moya Brennan (of Clannad) and versatile harp virtuoso Cormac De Barra; the legendary sisters Maighread and Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill (of The Bothy Band), known for their beautiful, combined voices and indescribably moving live performances, and siblings Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta, who were the recipients of the 2024 RTÉ Folk Award for ‘Best Emerging Artists’.

With accordion, fiddle, and piano driving their sound, Cécilia creates rich melodic harmonies, dynamic rhythmic interplay, and moments of engaging storytelling that draw listeners into the heart of their musical world. Each performance is shaped by both technical mastery and an infectious sense of joy, inviting audiences to experience the traditions that have inspired generations of musicians in Québec. In addition to their instrumental artistry, Cécilia brings the lively energy of French-Canadian step dancing to the stage—a visual and percussive element that adds excitement and texture to their performances.
