Glasgow Life Football Development delivered its annual 5-Day Walking Football Glasgow Trophy from 10 - 14 April at Toryglen Regional Football Centre.

The successful event brought together 120 clubs from all over the UK, and 1,000 players attended – the oldest of whom turns 80 this week!

Over the course of the five days, six events spanned the categories of Over 50/60/65/70 Men’s and Over 40/50’s Women’s, with tremendous spirit displayed by those taking part.

Congratulations go to this year’s winners: Linlithgow Rose CFC (O50’s), North Lanarkshire Council (O60’s), Alloa Athletic (O65’s), Ayr Utd (O70’s), Bolton Arena (O40’s & O50’s Women’s).

Special thanks go to former footballers Gordon Smith, Dave Mackinnon, Jim Stewart and Tom Boyd for their support of the event and presentation of the winners’ trophy and medals. The event offered opportunities for additional special photo opportunities with other celebrated ‘attendees’, as there were special visits by Scottish Women’s Premier League Trophy and on World Parkinson’s Day, 11 April, The Scottish Cup on its 150th Anniversary.
